Four successful entrepreneurs share their stories about what they have accomplished, and the unexpected challenges along the way. The panel discussion will be followed by a networking reception. Moderator: Hege Barnes, Director New York, Innovation Norway.



KjerstiKjersti Flaa
Kjersti Flaa is a multimedia producer / TV reporter and a print journalist. Originally from Norway she has been covering American entertainment, lifestyle, fashion and food trends for all her homeland’s major newspapers and magazines since 2007. She is the main celebrity interviewer on the biggest entertainment TV show in Norway: “God Kveld Norge” (Good Evening Norway, TV2). She is producing segments for “Entertainment Tonight” (ET) /MBC Arabic on a regular basis and is the “Hollywood correspondent” for US Entertainment news on the Dutch TV Show “Shownieuws”. Quotes from her celebrity interviews have appeared in several US and UK based outlets, including Huffington Post, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan and The Mirror. She has also collaborated with movie related projects for Warner Brothers and the branded content division at CNN. Kjersti Flaa´s celebrity interviews has over 24 million views on her You Tube channel.

MarianneMarianne Hindsgaul
Marianne Hindsgaul is the CEO & Co-Founder of Bubbly: Bubbly is the “Trojan Horse” that collects customer data in exchange for gifts and value coupons – a real time engagement kiosk for store foot traffic. This gives the brand owners valuable insights so they can connect and communicate with their customers and non-buyers in a more personal way. Expertise: Entrepreneurship, Sales Management, Leadership, Marketing and PR. Marianne has managed an international retail chain of +100 beauty salons, worked with global companies like British Airways as Marketing & PR Manager in Norway, and Sales Manager for Leading Hotels of the World in Scandinavia. She also co-founded and exited Abra (vending company) for $8M in 2009. She participated in Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator ( ERA) and Innovation Norway Summer Program in New York June to September 2016. Are Traasdahl, CEO and Founder of Tapad selected 5 Norwegian early stage companies out of 100 to join The Propeller Program and Bubbly was one of them. Entrance to the competitive, crowded, U.S. startup market can be overwhelming. It’ takes cultural acclimation, considerable resources and a deep network and this is what The Propeller Program is assisting us with. We have moved to New York and our office is now with Tapad Bubbly at 60 Madison Ave. Marianne was this year selected as one of the three finalists for Female Entrepreneur 2017 in Norway. There were almost 60 applicants.

KennethKenneth Flornes
As founder and CEO, Kenneth Flornes of Nectar Furnished Apartments drives the company’s vision, strategy and growth to elevate short-term housing as a simple and elegant housing experience. Kenneth’s knowledge and reputation have made him one of the most respected voices in the industry. He is a lifelong entrepreneur and expert in the world of corporate housing. Driven to create a distinct experience for his clients and guests, he felt the timing was right to launch Nectar in 2015. Through his expertise and keen business acumen, he has rapidly grown Nectar as a significant leader. Kenneth is involved in a number of local and international organizations. He currently serves as the Treasurer of the New York Council of Relocation Professionals (NYCORP). Kenneth stays close to his Norwegian heritage through his various affiliations and memberships in New York. He is a member of the Norwegian-American Chamber of Commerce, the American-Scandinavian Foundation and the American-Scandinavian Society.


Ayla Agren
Ayla got her license at age 7, and started racing within Scandinavia in the lower categories. From 2007 she started competing outside Scandinavia, and have after that competed in the Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Dutch, German, Italian, World and European Championship. She made her first move to USA doing a open-wheel car test late 2011. One month later she competed in a shootout where she won a scholarship to race the 2012 season – in which she collected 4 podiums. After that she has work her way up the open wheel ladder system, with her biggest accomplishment being in 2014 when she won the Championship title in the F1600 Championship series. Her end goal is to race in the Verizon IndyCar Series.
