David Brohel ~ Norseland, Incorporated
With a warm handshake, David Brohel has this year turned over the reins of Norseland, Inc. to his successor as president, John J. Sullivan. Mr. Brohel, highly regarded for his distinguished record of achievement, is a long-term director, past-president and executive committee member of the Norwegian-American Chamber of Commerce.
In an illustrious career at Norseland, Mr. Brohel significantly increased the core Norwegian cheese business while extending Norseland’s reach into other areas. In addition to the success story that is Jarlsberg, the company also is exclusive sales and marketing agent for best-selling Boursin as well as Saga and Costello brands and Galbani Cheese of Milan, Italy’s preeminent cheese exporter.
Mr. Brohel is well known and regarded with great respect and affection throughout the Norwegian American business and cultural communities. He is a frequent participant in and strong supporter of Norwegian-related events and activities throughout the United States.

Mr. Brohel is also a strong supporter of UNICEF, and for a number of years developed and implemented creative marketing programs that resulted in sales of Jarlsberg and sizeable contributions to UNICEF.
Under his leadership, Norseland, Incorporated was presented with the Norwegian American Trade Award in 1998 at a banquet in the United Nations Delegates Dining Room.
As he moves on to new challenges, we are pleased, indeed, that our good friend David Brohel will continue to sit on the NACC board of directors. We join the Norwegian American community in wishing Mr. Brohel continued success, and in congratulating John Sullivan as he takes the helm of this first rank company.
